Erin Cochrane

Hi everyone and welcome back to another fabulous year at the University of Guelph-Humber. My name is Erin Cochrane and I am returning for my second year as the Media Studies program representative on the GHSA.

For those of you that don’t know, the Guelph-Humber Student Association, or GHSA, is a group of students elected by students, advocating on their behalf. We also work to bring spirit to the school community. While we are most commonly known for our fall gala, which is a swingin’ good time, we are also here should you have any concerns or ideas for improving your program. With the formalities aside, here’s a bit about moi:

I am in my third year of the Media Studies program, specializing in Public Relations. This past summer, I did an internship downtown and can’t wait to continue to “rock it” in the career world. Of course doing so would not be complete without doing it in style. I am a self-proclaimed girly girl, who adores pink. But don’t let the pink fool you into judging a book by its cover. In fact, I’ll usually have my nose buried in one. I have loved to read since I was little. My favourite page-turners of this summer were “The Help” and “Big Girl Small”.

Now that you know a little bit about me, I can’t wait to get to meet all of you! Hope your year is full of success and loads of fun. Just remember, if there is anything your GHSA reps can do to make it that much better, feel free to give us a shout.
