Early Childhood News

This year the Early Childhood representatives have teamed up once again with Habitat for Humanity Toronto, continuing to assist in the William’s Way build. The current location of this project is at 1500 Weston Road, it is the site of Canada’s first solar-panel technology homes built by Habitat for Humanity. There are twenty townhouses that are currently being built to provide safe, decent and affordable homes for 96 women, men and children currently living in substandard housing in Toronto.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Habitat for Humanity, it is a non-profit organization that aims to provide affordable housing to families in need. When building with Habitat it is important to note that, as a volunteer, you are making a difference in the lives of families who will eventually move into these homes. For this reason, we hope that you will take the initiative and join this year’s Guelph-Humber build team on Saturday, March 5th, 2011. Pledge packages and information sessions will be coming soon!
